Guard your heart

Today as I was putting my baby down for a nap, I was thinking of my teen years. Many times, when my little one is dozing off I reminisce of my younger years. Or if I'm on a walk, I remember sweet memories of my childhood.

Oh how I wish I guarded my heart when I was a teenager. I was in so many pointless relationships. So many nights I spent crying. I look back and I just see time wasted. Many people say this makes us who we are, and I do understand these words, but I wish I had someone to encourage me that there are better things to come.

Girls, choose your friends wisely. Don't be lured by boys. I know it's fun and exciting but I have had to pay for all my mistakes. And nothing comes free. My heart has been broken so many times. Guard your hearts, dear girls. You are special and one day when the time is right, your prince will unlock it.

If you have younger sisters or friends, share these words with them. Don't judge, be understanding, remember when you were young. Always speak from your heart with love. It's easy to forget.

Till next time,

Always Lovely,

Luba

  1. I totally agree with you on this, I only learned this when I was 19 and did not really know how to put it into action, wish I had mentors back then that could have helped me along the way, but God redeems because I've been married 5 years now to the greatest man!

    1. That is a wonderful! Happy 5 Years to both of you! And yes, I wish the same. I was not very close to my mother as a teenager, and didn't have anyone to talk to about these type of things :( However I really hope to encourage other young ladies :))
