Summer Dresses

Oh Summer! How I have missed you! Even though living in a sunny climate means HOT weather most of the year, there is something about summer that get me excited! I'm such a beach bum that it's not even funny! If you ask me what I like to do for fun, I'll say "beach" 99.9% of the time.  Swimming, running after the kids, something about the hot air and the salty water brings me joy.  Well unless you ask me to visit a city, then I will be on board every time too (thanks to my first trip when I was 16 years old to NYC for a full month, I fell head of heels in love, more about that later.)

Here are a few dresses that I have and absolutely love!! They are easy as they are beautiful! You will not be disappointed.  Just a few ideas if you are on the lookout for a little number for this summer.  Now let's enjoy this summer to the fullest!

     

Hats...

I adore hats! When I was going through my hair loss stage, I learned that they were my best friend, as well as scarfs.  Over the years, I have grown quite the collection and love to incorporate them into my outfit.  I like to pick up a few hats every year that catch my eye.  I find amazing deals at Nordstrom Rack and Ebay.  J Crew  has classic hats that I tend to wear often.  What are your favorite type of hats?

Outfits Galore and Pretty Things

Here are a few shots from outfits I have worn over past couple weeks. And just pretty things I have been loving lately.

I have a love for styling clothing. I enjoy putting things together. From start to finish, I love seeing it all come together. It probably takes me about 5-10 minutes to pick out what to wear based on my mood and what I'm doing that day.

I love J Brand Jeans, they hug all the right curves.  I normally wear a size 25 in their jeans.  It's a tight fit but jeans tend to stretch out so it's better to go down a size.  I always suggest trying jeans on :)

I adore high waisted shorts.  I paired it with a cute blue belt at the waist and you can't go wrong with black patent wedges.  They are comfortable yet you still get that height.

I love finding deals at stores like Ross.  It's really luck and time on what you will find there but I have seen brands like Lucky, Guess, Free People, Calvin Klein, etc. 

Target makes great affordable shorts.  Definitely worth taking a look.

Who doesn't love a flowy silk top especially in soft pastel colors.  I love the plaid print, very unexpected.  I bought this top new off Ebay for $14. 

And of course Joe's Jeans makes the best legging denim.  These are super soft!

I adore Tory Burch Revas.  I love these in Pink.  (One of my favorite colors, can't go wrong)

Weekend Bliss: A Birthday, Mother Denim, J Crew Skirt, and everything in between

My J Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double Serge Cotton.  Love the Succulent Green.  I got mine for $28 including tax.  Super happy with the color.  So chic and fun all in one!

J Crew Favorites - Toothpick Jeans, No 2 Skirt, Skinny Belt and more...

Ok, there is no denying that I heart J Crew!  They have basic pieces that go with everything.The past two seasons, I have been loving all the new colors especially the neons.  I recently filmed a video on my favorites and here are a few of the items I talked about:

No 2 Pencil Skirts in Double Serge Cotton - Succulent Green & Neon Pink

I am completely obessed with these skirts! The fit is classic.  The colors are vibrant.  Perfect for the office, church, honestly any occasion were you want to look put together. I have two of the colors, Succulent Green and Neon Pink.  They are currently on sale on the website, but in store they are a bit cheaper. The material is breathable for summer and these can definitely be worn year round!

Cafe Capri Wool Pants in Camel

Timeless, Classic, a go to for when you want to look like a "grown up" if you know what I mean.  They are lightweight and just a great pair of neutral pants.  These are a great transitional piece for fall/winter.

Skinny Patent Belt in Neon Azalea

AHH Moment! This belt adds a pop of color to any outfit.  I love wearing it with dresses and my J Brand Houlihan pants.  Also looks great with the No. 2 skirts.  What am I kidding, it looks amazing wth anything! Great for year round.  A classic!

Gingham Perfect Shirt - Pink

LOVE! I seriously wear this shirt ALL the time! Washes great and is super soft and breathable! A timeless print that will be in my closet a long time!  I own several other colors as well however PINK is my favorite.

Cotton V-Neck Spearmint Sweater

When I saw this sweater, I had to have it! Lightweight, perfect for layering, and the color is perfect for this season.
